This policy explains what cookies are, which ones JP Carpentry Design & Construct uses on jpcarpentrydesign.co.uk, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things between pages, such as whether you have just submitted a form. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), websites may set cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for without consent, but must ask before setting any others.
2. Cookies we use
We set only the following first-party cookies, both of which are strictly necessary for the website and its enquiry forms to work:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| jp-carpentry-design-construct-session | Identifies your browsing session so the website can remember information between pages, for example to show a confirmation after you send a message. | 2 hours of inactivity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | A security token that protects our enquiry forms from cross-site request forgery, making sure a form submission really came from you on this website. | 2 hours |
Neither cookie contains personal information that identifies you, and neither is used to track you across other websites.
3. What we do not use
At present this website does not use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), advertising or retargeting cookies, or social media tracking pixels. We do not embed third-party content such as maps, videos or social feeds that would set cookies of their own. If we introduce any non-essential cookies in future we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
4. Third-party links
Links to our Facebook page and WhatsApp open on those services' own websites or apps. Once you leave our site, their cookie and privacy policies apply, and we have no control over the cookies they set.
5. Managing cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies there is nothing to opt in or out of here. You can still block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Be aware that blocking cookies for this site will stop the enquiry and quote forms from working, as the security token depends on them. Guidance for common browsers is available from the ICO at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
6. Changes
We will update this page if the cookies we use change. This policy was last updated on 7 November 2026.
7. Contact us
Questions about cookies or privacy on this website can be sent to JP Carpentry Design & Construct, Caerphilly & Newport, South Wales, NP12, or by email to jpcarpentry14@gmail.com. Our privacy policy explains how we handle the information you send us.
